Our Pastor, Reverend Robert B. Williams Jr is a 3rd generation Pastor, the Grandson of the Late Great Bishop Riley Williams, one of the original founders of the Church of God in Christ. His Grandmother, the late Evangelist Mahalia Talbert, his Father Superintendent Elder Robert B. Williams Sr. Pastor Rob accepted his prophecied call to preach the word of God in 2005 under the late great Reverend Robert Lewis at St. James AME Zion Church in Massillon Ohio. Pastor Rob was ordained in 2008 and assigned to his first Pastorate at St. Mark AME Zion Church in Dover Ohio. Pastor Rob served in a Tri-Pastorate Ministry at Lifesong Church in Massillon Ohio 2010-2011 with its Founding Pastor Natura Wright and the late great Pastor Jim Roberts.
Following a great stirring from the Holy Spirit, Pastor Rob and First Lady Robin were led by God to get a building and that God would send the people. The Jesus Spot was birthed in October 2011 at 50 Pearl SE, Pastor Rob’s former Middle School, EA Jones. The Jesus Spot is a non-denominational Church purposed to be the heart, the voice and the feet of Jesus. Our Pastor has a heart for God’s people, the Jesus Spot is a hospital where sin sick people are welcomed, loved, and receive a steady, consistent dose of spiritual medicine where they can be healed, restored and reconciled back to God the Father in good health.
Upon opening the Jesus Spot, Pastor Rob retired from the Massillon Police Department after 26 years of service, serving as its Chief of Police from 2005 to 2012. Pastor Rob has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Malone University and a Master’s in Theological Studies from Liberty Theological Seminary.
Our First Lady, Robin Williams is the perfect help mate to our Pastor and a Godsend to our Church. First Lady Robin is an accomplished songstress growing up as one of Canton’s well known “Rice Sisters.” First Lady Robin has a beautiful voice but more importantly a beautiful servant spirit. She leads by example with a gentle but steady hand. Our First Lady is a “hands on” First Lady and quite often we have to tell her to get out of the kitchen and sit down!
First Lady Robin has served 13 years as the Program Director over the Radiography Program at Aultman College and 37 years as a Radiologic Technologist. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Malone University and a Master’s Degree in Management from St. Joseph Maine College. Pastor Rob has (2) Adult son’s Marquis and Robert, Pastor Rob and First Lady Robin have (2) beautiful daughters Aaliyah and Tinker, and (6) lovely grandchildren, Xavier, Aiva, Christian, Raine, Skye and Icey.
